Get Fired Up for the Dragon Boat Challenge
Exeter will host the third annual Dream-A-Way Dragon Boat Challenge on Sunday 11th July 2010 at Exeter Quay.
Families, businesses and rowing enthusiasts are all being encouraged to join the competition. All funds raised will go to Exeter charity Dream-A-Way, which provides holidays and outings for people with disabilities from across the South West.
Dream-A-Way is Purple's Charity of the Year.
On the same day, Exeter Quay will be staging the British Dragon Boat Racing League Championships. Dragon boat racing is one of the fastest growing and most exciting water sports you can take part in.
Exe-Calibre, our Exeter Club, will be entering three teams. We are currently top of the Standard League in England. Amanda (Director at Purple) is in the RACE TEAM and VERY excited, so she and Exe-Calibre would love your support. Exe-Calibre have partnered with local charity Dream-A-Way so the event will feature BDA races plus charity races and lots of spectators.
